1981 grew up in Konstanz and began playing the piano at the age of 9.
He studied from 2003 - 2008 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. His teachers included Karel Boehlee, Kris Goessens, Hans Vroomans and Rob van Bavel. He attended workshops and master classes with musicians like Kenny Werner, Fred Hersch, John Scofield, Bobby McFerrin, Chris Potter, Larry Goldings, Peter Erskine and Kevin Hays.
Since graduating he lives and works as a freelance musician and teacher in Berlin. He played numerous concerts and performances in different formations in Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin with musicians as Arto Lindsay, Lucia Martinez, Patrick Manzecchi, Robert Menzel, Tobias Fleischer (Mo'Blow), Benni Wellenbeck and Stefan Schönegg.
He co-founded the group “Crucible” with whom he has realized numerous interdisciplinary projects from 2006-2011 as musical director. 2011 the group founded the studio "KORSOBAD" in Berlin.
In 2013 he received the cultural prize of the city of Konstanz.

He has played at a number of national and international occasions with local and international musicians (Gary Smulyan, Dick Oatts, Tony Miceli, John Engels, Saskia Laroo, Michiel Borstlap, Okay Temiz...).
He achieved to get into the semi finals of the DUTCH JAZZ COMPETITION in 2004 at the BIM-HUIS in Amsterdam.
In 2013 he played a tour in USA (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington) with Thelonious 4.
Andreas has played in many different groups and styles: Ton Art Ensemble (experimental/avantgarde) Hamburg 1998, Shibly Band (worldmusic) Skopje Acoustic Festival 2001, at many clubs and festivals since 2006, Nomy Rosenberg Trio (Gypsy Jazz) 2009, and many more.
His newest Project is MACROCOSMOS with Thomas Hilbrandie on guitar playing and improvising on Bartoks Mikrokosmos.
Since 2015 he lives and works in Istanbul.

He is considered to be one of the best Bop drummers in Germany and is highly respected for his authenticity and floating swing and his personal sound is in great demand by several dance companies for a wide range of projects. He played and toured with some highly respected international artists like Paolo Fresu, Pee Wee Ellis, Barry Harris, Teddy Edwards, Arthur Blythe, Scott Hamilton, Mark Soskin, Richie Beirach, George Mraz, Jimmy Woode, Reggie Johnson, Dusko Goykovich, Vince Benedetti, Harvie Swartz, Tim Hagans, Allan Praskin, Gary Barone, Sandy Patton to name a few. Festivals all over Europe, Africa and Asia, countless radio- and TV broadcasts.
Patrick Manzecchi is a honour member of the Jazzclub Konstanz. In 2004 he received the cultural prize of the town Friedrichshafen. In 2007 he was the "Jazzman Of The Month" by DUSK MAGAZINE (US print, january 07).
